Kisses Terms & Policy

Kisses requires all pets to be current on their Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella Vaccinations and to wait at least 48 hours after any vaccinations before checking in. Proof of all vaccinations must be submitted THROUGH EMAIL prior to the day of service. Rabies vaccination is required for puppies over 4 months of age. It is still possible for vacccinated pets to become ill with an infectious condition despite being vaccinated. You agree that you will not hold Kisses liable in the event your pet becomes ill with an infectious condition during or after its service.

Pets who have recently been vaccinated, have active infections or have underlying health issues are at higher risk of injury from stress. Older pets, those with special challenges, pets who have recently experienced stressful life changes or injuries are at higher risk of experiencing stress or aggravating a condition during grooming. Stress in pets can be cumulative, meaning a series of stressful situations can affect a pet’s health and well-being. Be sure to flag any special conditions with your groomer and note all pertinent information on the provided salon card. All pets must be in good health prior to receiving any grooming services.

You agree that Kisses is not responsible for any known or unknown pre-existing or degenerative medical conditions (or the aggravation of such conditions) such as heart disease, arthritis, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), cruciate ligament tears, brachycephalic syndrome, infections, or any other medical problem and that may be affected by the grooming process.

Kisses does not accept pets under any sedation. You agree that your pet is not given any sedatives on the day of grooming service.

You understand that shaving a matted pet may reveal pre-existing skin conditions that were unable to be identified prior to shaving and that Kisses is not responsible for issues that are revealed by or arise due to shaving or de-matting a matted pet including skin irritations, poor hair re-growth, coat color changes, nicks to moles and skin growths or skin, aural hematomas, and odd behaviors. In the event mats are found, you authorize your stylist/groomer to shave the matted areas.

In the unlikely event your pet becomes ill, injured, or requires medical attention, Kisses will attempt to notify you or your Agent as quickly as possible at the phone number(s) you provided. If we can’t reach you or your Agent, or in the case of an emergency, you authorize Kisses to serve as your Agent and agree that Kisses may seek veterinary care and make healthcare decisions at your expense. You hereby knowingly, and with informed consent, authorize the release of all veterinary records to Kisses for any medical treatment received by your pet in possible connection with the service.

You agree that Kisses is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the manufacturer-recommended usage of any products. Although a pet may experience an allergic reaction to grooming products at any time, flea and tick products are associated with a higher incidence of reactions. Please consult your veterinarian prior to having your pet treated if you have any questions concerning your pet’s sensitivity to such treatments.

You agree to inform Kisses during the Meet & Greet Consultation session if your pet has been, is, or can be aggressive to people or other pets, or for specific grooming procedures. Certain pets may be turned away for safety reason. Certain pets may be suggested trying out our private room one-on-one grooming service at a higher price for best experience. E-collars or muzzles may be used if necessary.

We may take photos/videos of your pet while your pet is receiving services. You hereby grant Kisses and its affiliates the perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right and license to publish, distribute, adapt, modify, or otherwise use the photos/videos, or any portion thereof, in any manner for any commercial or non-commercial purpose without notice to you/your review or approval.

Any pet not picked up within 1 hour of our notice for completion of service will be placed in the Kisses Play Dates program at an extra charge. Any pet not picked up within 24 hours of completion of a service may be, at our sole discretion, turned over to a local humane society or adoption agency.

You understand that due to the nature of grooming service, a quote given prior to the completion of any grooming service is only an estimated price range. Kisses decides the final price upon the completion of a grooming service. You agree to make the full payment at check-out.

In the event your pet is involved in an incident (e.g. biting a person or another pet), you hereby authorize Kisses to release your name and contact information to any party involved in the incident and/or the appropriate government authority. You agree to defend and indemnify Kisses for any claims, damages, or costs arising out of or related to any incident.
